Courses & Enrollment
Where are the courses hosted?
All courses are hosted on Udemy. When you click "Enroll" on any course page on stacksimplify.com, you'll be taken to Udemy where you can purchase and access the course. Udemy handles payments, video streaming, certificates, and the Q&A system.
How many courses are available?
I currently have 21 published courses covering Terraform (7 courses), Kubernetes (5 courses), AWS Services (5 courses), DevOps & Docker (2 courses), and GCP + Spring Boot (2 courses). Browse them all on the Courses page.
Which course should I start with?
It depends on your background:
- New to containers? Start with Docker in a Weekend
- Want Kubernetes? Choose based on cloud: AWS EKS, Azure AKS, or GCP GKE
- Want Terraform? Start with Terraform Associate on AWS for certification, or Terraform on AWS SRE for production skills
- Want the full DevOps stack? Try the Ultimate DevOps Project on AWS
Is there a free course I can try first?
Yes! The AWS VPC Transit Gateway course is completely free. It covers AWS networking fundamentals and is a great way to experience my teaching style before enrolling in a paid course.
Pricing & Coupons
How do I get a discount coupon?
The best way to get the latest coupons is to:
- Check each course detail page — active coupons are displayed prominently
- Subscribe to the newsletter — I send exclusive coupons to subscribers
- Watch for the promotional banner on the website — it always shows the current best offer
My coupon code isn't working. What should I do?
Coupon codes expire at the end of each month. If a code isn't working:
- Check if the coupon has expired (look for the current month's code on the course page)
- Make sure you're on the correct Udemy course link (some coupons are course-specific)
- Try clearing your browser cookies and accessing the link again
- If it still doesn't work, email me and I'll send you an updated link
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds are handled by Udemy, not by me directly. Udemy offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on all course purchases. You can request a refund through your Udemy account within 30 days of purchase.
Course Content & GitHub
Do courses come with code and documentation?
Yes! Every course has a dedicated public GitHub repository with complete code, Terraform manifests, Kubernetes YAML files, and step-by-step documentation. You can fork the repo and follow along at your own pace. Find all repositories at github.com/stacksimplify.
I found a bug or outdated content in a course. How do I report it?
Two ways:
- GitHub Issues: Open an issue on the course's GitHub repository — this is preferred for code bugs or documentation errors
- Udemy Q&A: Post in the course Q&A section — best for video content issues or conceptual questions
What is docs.stacksimplify.com?
docs.stacksimplify.com is the companion documentation site for my Kubernetes courses (AWS EKS, Azure AKS, GCP GKE) and the GCP Associate Cloud Engineer course. It contains 300+ step-by-step guides that complement the video content.
What is terraformguru.com?
terraformguru.com is a dedicated Terraform documentation site with step-by-step guides for all 7 Terraform courses — covering AWS, Azure, GCP, EKS, and certification preparation. It's the go-to reference while working through Terraform courses.
Certificates & Learning
Do I get a certificate after completing a course?
Yes. Udemy provides a certificate of completion once you've watched all the lectures in a course. You can download it from your Udemy dashboard and share it on LinkedIn. Note: this is a Udemy certificate, not an official cloud certification.
Will your courses help me pass cloud certification exams?
Several courses are specifically designed for certification prep:
- HashiCorp Terraform Associate (AWS) — 50 practical demos
- HashiCorp Terraform Associate (Azure) — 70 demos
- GCP Associate Cloud Engineer — 150 demos
How long do I have access to a course?
Lifetime access. Once you purchase a course on Udemy, you have access forever — including all future updates. I regularly update courses when cloud providers release new features or when tools get major version bumps.
Technical & Cloud Costs
Will following the demos cost money on AWS/Azure/GCP?
Yes, most demos create real cloud resources that will incur costs. However, I always:
- Use the most cost-effective instance types and configurations
- Include cleanup instructions at the end of every demo (terraform destroy, kubectl delete, etc.)
- Highlight which resources cost money and approximate hourly rates
What are the prerequisites for your courses?
Prerequisites vary by course, but generally:
- Docker course: Basic Linux command line knowledge
- Kubernetes courses: Docker fundamentals (take Docker course first)
- Terraform courses: Basic understanding of the target cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Certification courses: Some hands-on cloud experience recommended
